The Network Voice Architect will have a strong background in enterprise voice systems, scripting/automation, and cloud infrastructure. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing voice and collaboration networks across hybrid environments. The ideal candidate is a hands-on architect who can lead voice transformation initiatives, automate network tasks, and integrate solutions in cloud-based ecosystems such as AWS, Azure, or OCI Cloud.

This position reports to the manager for Global network Services and is part of the information Technology team, located in Concord, Canada and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Design, deploy, and manage enterprise voice and collaboration systems (e.g., Cisco CUCM, UCCX, Webex, MS Teams Voice, SIP Trunking).
  • Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance voice and data network infrastructure solutions in on-prem, hybrid, and cloud environments.
  • Develop automation scripts and tooling for network voice provisioning, monitoring, and operations (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Ansible).
  • Integrate cloud telephony solutions with existing infrastructure (e.g., AWS Connect, Azure Communication Services).
  • Participate in security audit and compliance initiatives with multiple operating organizations and third party vendors and/or partners.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree is required with 7+ years of experience in network/voice engineering or architecture roles.
  • Expertise with enterprise voice platforms: Cisco Unified Communications (CUCM), Unity, Expressway, CUBE, SIP trunking, or Microsoft Teams Voice with experience with SBCs (Session Border Controllers) and ISDN integrations.
  • Strong scripting/automation experience with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible.
  • Experience with Contact Center technologies (e.g., Cisco UCCX/UCCE, Cisco WebEx, RingCentral, Call script, UCCX Dashboard and reporting)
  • Deep understanding of VoIP protocols and standards: SIP, RTP, QoS, SRTP, H.323.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel - 10% travel as needed for project meetings or site installations and turn up
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 75lbs, use a step stool or ladder as needed.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Familiarity with APIs for automation and integration.
  • Experience implementing SDWAN, Zero Trust / SASE technologies and Palo Alto Firewall appliances.
  • Experience building opensource UNIX-Like operating systems such as Linux Ubuntu, FreeBSD and OpenBSD.

The annual salary range for this role is 103, ,000.00 CAD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
