You Will:
Define the data analytics strategy for BenchSci, overseeing the development and execution of core projects, and establishing governance for documentation and code changes.Lead the implementation and optimization of all analytical tools, ensuring our data stack is robust, scalable, and aligned with business goals.Propose and lead strategic analytical initiatives, defining key results that directly address core business challenges and contribute to company objectives.Establish and evangelize analysis methodologies, reporting standards, and data visualization best practices across the organization.Partner with stakeholders to translate high-level business questions into detailed measurement plans, KPIs, and actionable outputs.Oversee complex analytical tasks, including data modeling in dbt, event creation in Heap, code reviews in GitHub, data source management, and quality assurance.Lead the hiring and professional development of the data analyst team, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and guidance on project execution and skill development.Present and articulate complex insights and recommendations to executive leadership and diverse audiences with clarity and conviction.Strategically manage project timelines and resource allocation, balancing proactive initiatives with ad-hoc requests to meet business needs.Collaborate with senior leaders across marketing, sales, customer success, and operations to understand their strategic needs and identify opportunities to enhance our data offerings.You Have:
7+ years of experience in data analytics, with a significant portion in a senior role.Proven track record of mentoring a team of data analysts.Expertise in translating complex business objectives into a strategic technical roadmap.Strong project management and leadership skills, with a history of delivering high-impact projects.Advanced proficiency in SQL and deep experience with data modeling in dbt.Experience with Github and establishing robust change control processes.Extensive experience with web analytics/tracking tools like Heap.Expert knowledge of business intelligence and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker).Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.A passion for driving analytical excellence and establishing best practices across an organization.
