ARC Business Solutions Inc. is currently seeking a Power Engineer Software Tester for an immediate opportunity in Calgary, AB.

ROLE:  Power Engineer Software Tester

MANDATORY:
 A minimum of four years experience developing test cases/scenarios and coordinating system testing or user acceptance testing. A related technical degree or diploma, which focuses on systems development.Experience as either an electrical or power engineer or engineering technologistExecute system, integration regression, and user acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet specifications and quality standards.Identify, document and track defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.Support test automation initiatives, including creating, maintaining, and executing test scripts.Monitor and report on testing progress, results, and key metrics to project stakeholders.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to testing practices, tools, and methodologies.Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both the user community and IS&T.Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to recognize symptoms, diagnose causes and identify alternative solutions.Demonstrated ability to pay persistent attention to detail, while maintaining an overall view of the situation and the "big picture".Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask and meet the challenges of a fast-paced changing environment.Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Visio.Hands-on project experience with at least one Test Automation and Test Management toolset on at least one enterprise level application development project would be considered an asset.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.Decision-making ability and demonstrated leadership potential is essential.Working knowledge of/experience with Project Management body of knowledge and software development methodologies would be beneficial.OPTIONAL:Membership in APEGGAExperience in a distribution or transmission power utilityExperience with Common Information Model (CIM)Experience in Utility Long term planningExperience in Operational Technology or Electric Utility System OperationsWe thank all applicants for their interest; however, only candidates considered for interviews will be contacted.  We will be conducting interviews immediately.  TO BE CONSIDERED - Please forward your resume clearly displaying reference number DP:T in the subject line to .  For more information on ARC, please visit our website
