Your Role
We're seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and define the future of our infrastructure practice. This is a rare opportunity to be the architect of our infrastructure-as-code strategy, DevOps culture, and site reliability practices from the ground up. You'll work directly with leadership to shape technical direction while building systems that power predictive analytics for global energy markets.

What You'll Build
Infrastructure as Code & Automation
- Design and implement our IaC strategy using Terraform, establishing patterns that become company standards
- Build self-service infrastructure platforms that empower development teams
- Automate everything: from provisioning to monitoring to incident response
Cloud Architecture & Platform Engineering
- Architect scalable, cost-efficient Azure solutions (AWS/GCP experience valued)
- Design and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Develop internal platforms that eliminate friction and accelerate delivery
Site Reliability & DevOps
- Establish SRE practices including SLOs, error budgets, and blameless postmortems
- Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines enabling continuous delivery
- Implement observability solutions (DataDog, Grafana, Splunk) for proactive issue detection
- Collaborate with on-call rotations to support critical systems
- Mentor applications and data science teams to improve observability and monitoring practices
Developer Experience
- Create tools and workflows that boost developer productivity
- Build "paved paths" for common infrastructure patterns
- Champion automation and eliminate operational toil
Your Qualifications
Must Have:
- 5-7+ years of infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or SRE experience with proven impact
- Deep expertise in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform strongly preferred)
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP also valuable)
- Hands-on proficiency with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Go)
- Strong knowledge of networking, security best practices, and system administration
- Experience with secrets management solutions (HashiCorp Vault, Azure Key Vault, AWS Secrets Manager)
- Proven track record of improving system reliability, availability, and performance
Highly Valued:
- Experience building internal developer platforms or self-service tooling
- Background in SRE practices: SLOs, error budgets, incident management
- Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
- Familiarity with GitOps workflows and tooling (ArgoCD, Flux)
- Experience with time-series databases and high-performance data systems
- Understanding of security and compliance automation
- Contributions to open-source infrastructure projects
