Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist physiotherapists in providing high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work effectively in an acute care environment. The Physiotherapy Assistant will play a vital role in helping patients recover and improve their physical health.

Duties

  • Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
  • Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks to enhance their recovery.
  • Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document progress as directed by the physiotherapist.
  • Educate patients on exercises and techniques to facilitate their rehabilitation.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients during therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with acute care practices is highly desirable.
  • Strong background in patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology to effectively communicate within the healthcare team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.20-$17.25 per hour
