Our client is an award-winning independent creative agency specializing in transformative brand strategy, storytelling, design and innovative ad campaigns. Their mission is to craft powerful ideas that build brand belief and inspire meaningful action.

THE ROLE

As an Intermediate or Senior Copywriter, you'll lead creative concept development and execution across a broad spectrum of brands and media including broadcast, OOH, print and social content. But you're not just good at big ideas, you actually enjoy the craft of writing. Your words will also come to life in brand manifestos, body copy, web copy and other longer-form content writing. We're seeking a "writer's writer."

Responsibilities

  • Generate groundbreaking ideas and develop engaging 360 campaign work including television/OLV, OOH, print, digital and social
  • Develop clear, engaging copy across channels - from campaigns to long-form brand storytelling
  • Contribute to brand positioning, naming and tone-of-voice work
  • Collaborate closely with internal team including Art Directors, Creative Director, Account & Strategy to align concepts and messaging with business goals
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all deliverables meet their respective timelines
  • Become an expert in your clients' businesses in order to craft messages in their distinct tone of voice
  • Present creative work with energy, confidence and professionalism
  • Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity, tone and accuracy
  • Stay on top of advertising trends, cultural insights and emerging platforms

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5-7+ years of experience as a Copywriter at an ad agency (agency experience is mandatory)
  • A solid portfolio showcasing integrated ad campaigns and copywriting for notable brands
  • Ideally, some trophies on your award shelf
  • A blend of conceptual and craft skills - you can crack a big idea and sweat the details
  • Strong presentation and storytelling ability
  • Professionalism and maturity - you present well, listen actively, and don't take feedback personally
  • Persistence - willing to do the hard digging on ideas and keep iterating
  • A genuine love for writing and passion for language - you care about rhythm, word choice and how ideas read and feel
  • Curiosity and engagement with the ad world - you keep up with great work, awards and industry trends 

Other Details

  • This role is mostly on-site (~4 - 5 days/wk). Remote is not an option (sorry).
  • Ideally targeting ~$90K salary range. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
