About The Role
As the Manager, Global Security Operations, you will define, deliver and lead an effective cyber security operations strategy for Kinaxis. You will be responsible for the continuous monitoring of Kinaxis digital footprint for security incidents that impact confidentiality, integrity and availability. As the selected candidate, you will provide exceptional leadership and guidance as the direct manager of our team of Information Security Analysts.
A trusted advisor to the business and an exceptional collaborator, the Manager, Security Operations works closely with cross functional teams within Kinaxis such as Corporate IT, Cloud Operations, Product Development, Corporate IT, and technology partners to understand context, mitigate risks and improve our operational security to drive quality and dependable delivery of services around the world.
*What you will do*
- Manage day-to-day Cybersecurity operations and assist in implementing new cybersecurity technologies and practices, maintaining healthy metrics
- Manage enterprise cybersecurity technology needs, stakeholder relationships, and capability maturity for Security operations
- Oversee and contribute to the development of mature cyber security procedures and processes
- Set vision and roadmap for development of Cybersecurity Operational technical capabilities they are responsible for providing to enterprise
- Own the Security Incident Response Process ensuring it is tested, and all stakeholders understand their duties.
- Oversee the cybersecurity tool suite, and ensure adequate monitoring coverage
- Detect, Analyze and resolve complex security vulnerabilities or breaches issues in line with defined SLAs
- Research, evaluate, recommend, and deploy cybersecurity-related hardware and software, including developing business cases for security investments
- Manage and develop a team of Information Security Analysts, providing exceptional coaching, guidance, and leadership
- Oversee development of incident response plans and provide timely updates and reports to Senior Leadership
- Identify and propose key information security program priorities, initiatives, plans, practices and tools
- Support internal/external security audits
- Understand potential and emerging information security threats and vulnerabilities and communicate this information to appropriate team members throughout the Company on a timely basis
*What we are looking for
Primary Skills And Qualifications*
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Management Systems, or similar
- CISM, CISSP or comparable certification required
- 7 to 10 years progressive experience in Information Security in a high-tech, global, publicly traded organization; seasoned experience leading a team of Information Security professionals
- 2+ years of experience formally or informally leading Security resources, projects, and/or programs
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to solve complex problems using critical and design thinking, and creativity.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of emerging trends in the Cybersecurity technology landscape
- Highly adaptable and able to pivot based on prioritization and needs of the business; proactively solicits and delivers feedback to ensure alignment.
- Excellent in communicating technical ideas and strategies effectively to non-technical audiences
- Ability to build effective relationships with third party providers, suppliers, and partners
- Proven ability executing projects in a collaborative, fast paced environment
Role Specific Skills And Experience
- Excellent Understanding of Cybersecurity Operations models and technologies (cloud, automation, orchestration, analytics, and risk-based approaches)
- Excellent understanding of regulatory and industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27000, CIS, PCI DSS, OWASP, COBIT and MITRE ATT&ACK framework
- Strong knowledge and experience with the following technologies SIEM, EDR, Firewalls, WAF, CASB, IDS/IPS, DLP, CNAPP etc.
- In-depth knowledge of modern security concepts such as common attack vectors, malware, security analytics and threat intelligence
- Experience with continuous integration of logs from digital systems into the SIEM to meet the security use cases and regulatory requirements
- Experience with Indicators of Compromise (IOCs), Indicators of Activity (IOAs) and attack Tools, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs), and forensic analysis tools
- Public Cloud (Azure, GCP, AWS) platform knowledge and experience
- Experience with developing and maintaining regular metrics, dashboards and reports on SOC operations for various stakeholders
- Experience with managing a Next-Gen SIEM/SOAR tools such as Sentinel and developing use cases
- Experience working with DevSecOps practices, including Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines will be an advantage
