Responsibilities

  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites

  • Perform routine maintenance work

  • A valid forklift and Occupational First Aid Level One certificates are assets.

  • Must be trained and have experience on the following equipment: Forklifts, zoom booms, scissor lifts, and bobcat.

  • Must have knowledge of Work Safe BC Regulations.

  • Previous experience within an Equipment Operator capacity is required.

  • Must have considerable applicable equipment operation experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Must have a demonstrated ability to operate all equipment safely and effectively.

Other duties as required:

  • Load, unload and transport construction materials

  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades

  • Mix, pour and spread materials

  • Assist in framing, and erecting walls

  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites

Experience.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry is required.

  • Good mathematical skills

  • BC Driver's license

  • Authorization to work in Canada

Full-time position with an 8-hour shift.

Workdays from Monday to Friday, with the possibility of overtime and weekend work as project demands dictate.

Working Conditions

  • Working at heights

  • Exposure to cold/hot weather. Appropriate dress required for weather conditions

  • Exposure to noise, dust, pollution

  • Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, sharp hand tools

  • Ability to stand, crouch and kneel for long periods of time

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
