The Role

We're looking for a Machine Learning Engineer (Computer Vision) to research, design, and implement models that enhance the quality and efficiency of our video processing pipeline. You'll work on algorithms that perform automatic color correction, shot detection, and audio sync identification, integrating them into scalable production systems.

You'll work closely with Product, and Engineering teamsto deliver features and systems that support our growth and customer needs.

What You'll Do
  • Research and develop computer vision and deep learning models for color correction, scene analysis, and audio/video alignment.
  • Build and maintain training and inference pipelines using frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Design and deploy models that operate efficiently on large-scale, distributed video datasets.
  • Collaborate closely with backend and SRE teams to integrate ML models into production systems.
  • Evaluate model performance using real-world data and optimize for accuracy, speed, and scalability.
  • Stay current on advancements in media ML, image processing, and audio feature extraction.
What We're Looking For
  • 4+ years of experience in applied machine learning, ideally focused on computer vision or audio analysis.
  • Proficiency in Python and frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or OpenCV.
  • Strong understanding of image processing, color spaces, and feature extraction.
  • Experience with audio signal processing and synchronization techniques.
  • Familiarity with large-scale data pipelines and distributed training.
  • Bonus: experience working with GPU clusters, containerized ML workflows (Docker/Kubernetes), or cloud ML services.

Location Preference: This role is open to candidates based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We operate as a remote-friendly team, but some overlap with the Pacific Time Zone is required.
