Job Overview

Enginuity Consulting Ltd. is a dynamic medium-sized engineering and professional services firm currently seeking an Office Manager with focus on company accounting and finances to join our Business Support Department. This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless operation of our accounting, financial, and office administrative functions contributing directly to our firm's efficiency and success.

About the Role:

This is an operations-focused bookkeeping and project admin/controls support role. You will be a key team member of the business support department, working closely with upper management and various departments to promote smooth day-to-day operations and support key business objectives, including a positive work culture. You will lead and own the administration of our ERP Software's Accounting & Financial functions in conjunction with other staff, manage payroll, handle accounts payable and receivables, complete bookkeeping activities, to ensure the company's financial and operational health. The role offers opportunities and exposure to other business administration and support functions outside of financials and project controls.

Key Responsibilities:

Book keeping & Accounting

· Manage bookkeeping tasks such as expense tracking, coding/filing receipts, and maintaining organized financial records.

· Assist with invoicing (including retainers and regular billing cycles) by preparing drafts, tracking required inputs, and ensuring items are ready for review/issue.

· Assist with accounts payable and purchasing; preparing purchase requests/orders, tracking status, and assisting with payment follow-up as needed.

· Assist with accounts receivable & collections; follow-up by tracking outstanding invoices and communicating professionally with client/vendor accounting contacts.

Project Finance & Controls

· Set up and close out projects in company systems, keeping project records and files organized and current in company ERP system (BQE Core).

· Maintain accurate project administrative data to support reporting, billing readiness, and internal coordination.

· Assist with basic reporting and dashboards (e.g., workload/backlog/resource tracking) by keeping source data up to date.

Office & Business Support

· Provide day-to-day administrative support to keep the office running smoothly and support multiple teams across the business.

· General purchasing

· Support managers and staff in other departments on specific requests

Qualifications:

· A minimum of 2 years' of similar experience in accounting, administration, or office management.

· Post secondary education, preferably in commerce, business, business administration, or a related field.

· Technical Proficiency: knowledge of book keeping fundamentals, software, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.

· Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of staff, clients' A/P departments, and management.
