Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various industrial and construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, schematics, and safety protocols to ensure efficient and safe operations. The Electrician will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other tradespeople to deliver high-quality electrical solutions that meet project specifications and standards.

Duties

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute electrical installations and repairs accurately.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including low voltage wiring, power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
  • Use hand tools and power tools effectively to perform wiring, conduit bending, and equipment installation tasks.
  • Conduct inspections to identify electrical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to coordinate electrical work seamlessly within project timelines.
  • Document work performed and report any safety hazards or technical issues to supervisors promptly.
  • Assist in the training of junior electricians or apprentices as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or construction environments is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
  • Proficiency with hand tools such as pliers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, and multimeters; experience with power tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of low voltage systems along with general electrical experience including wiring methods and electrical codes.
  • Familiarity with working on construction sites or industrial facilities where safety is a priority.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently.
  • Valid electrician's license or certification as required by local regulations is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high safety standards. This position offers an opportunity for experienced electricians to apply their skills in dynamic settings while contributing to critical infrastructure projects that require precision and professionalism.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 10 months

Pay: $29.29-$46.58 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
