Are you passionate about making an impact in your community? Do you have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills? We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Advancement Coordinator to support our Fund Development and Marketing and Communications Teams.

Key Responsibilities

· Planning, coordination and execution of fundraising events, campaigns and initiatives

· Develop compelling fundraising and promotional materials, including content for social media, donor newsletters, brochures, and campaign appeals.

· Actively assist in expanding and developing new corporate, community, and third-party fundraising partnerships

· Coordinate timely website and social media outputs in alignment with the Marketing Plan

· Monitor social media presence and integrate new strategies to enhance presence.

· Production of welcome books, program materials, and community reports

· Production of news releases, articles, presentation speaking notes and organizational key messages

· Collaborates with the Marketing and Communications team to develop a yearly Marketing plan

· Research potential grant opportunities and assist in the preliminary stages of grant proposal preparation

· Actively participate in committees and attend key organizational events throughout the year

Role Requirements

· Graduate of a post-secondary program in event management/hospitality/fund development, an asset

· Graduate of a post -secondary program in communications, marketing or media communications program

· 1-2 years of experience in communications and fundraising, preferably in a non-profit environment

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with a donor database.

· Experience in website management is an asset

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

· Police Vulnerable Sector Check (required before start)
