Overview

• Physically fit

• Non-smoker (vaping okay but would prefer not)
• Professional appearance (no crazy tattoos or hair styles)
• Motivated. If you're just looking for a place to punch in and out, this is not for you

• Willingness to advance and take on more responsibilities
• Performance pay in spring/summer/fall. Base wage is $18 per hour, but you get 33% of labor revenue. You get paid whichever is more: base wage or 33% of labor revenue. This year, our guys had multiple pay periods where they earned $25+ per hour and one where an employee earned $31.44 an hour.

Job details specific to each season:

Winter: Guaranteed wage of $3000 or more per month - you get paid whether or not there is work. Work is on call, using snowblowers, backpack blowers, and shovels to clear snow from pedestrian walkways (skid steer experience is not an asset). Bottom line: On call and early hours required in winter

Summer is great: as much work as you want, optional Saturdays. Mostly Lawn mowing with some landscaping here and there. Possibility of running a full landscaping crew but currently we only have a part time truck dedicated to projects and two trucks dedicated to mowing. Bottom Line: Sunday Guaranteed off but some Saturdays are required to catch up on days missed due to rain

Spring is hit or miss: Guaranteed wage ends April 1st and there is only a few hours here and there until the snow melts and we can start working.

Fall is also great: We are typically busy right up until snow comes, but there is no actual guarantee of hours past October 15th (however, the guys have been busy the last 3 years)

Specifics

You need to provide a driver's abstract

You need a vehicle as public transportation doesn't accommodate winter hours or go to our shop

You have no guaranteed days off in winter other than Christmas and New years. The job is on call - if you miss a day for any reason, you unfortunately lose your guaranteed wage

You need a good attitude. Everyone who works here wants to be here. We offer above industry compensation, profit sharing, incentive bonuses, and internal advancement.
