Duties
Working in the Civil Aviation Directorate at Transport Canada, Civil Aviation Safety Inspectors (CASI) - Airworthiness are responsible for performing inspection activities as they relate to individuals and organizations involved in aircraft and aeronautical product maintenance and manufacturing. CASIs are responsible to ensure compliance with the civil aviation regulatory framework, to ensure and promote aircraft airworthiness and a proactive safety management system culture, for the safety of civil aviation in Canada and abroad.

What you will be doing:
- Conducting regular inspection activity of approved organizations, writing reports and following up on areas of concern.
- Reviewing and approving company documentation relating to policy and procedure for aircraft operation and maintenance.
- Review, inspection and certification of applicants for AMO, ATO, Air Operator, Manufacturer and AME licence.
- Investigating and providing technical support relating to aviation incidents, accidents and continuing airworthiness.
To be considered, you must have:
- A secondary school diploma (high school) or employer-approved alternatives.
- Valid Canadian Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) Licence.
- Recent experience working as a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) with Certifying Authority in a Canadian Maintenance or Manufacturing Organization, including the performance of complex activities in a wide variety of situations while demonstrating an increasing level of responsibility.

Tâches
Les inspecteurs/inspectrices de la sécurité de l'Aviation civile (ISAC) – Navigabilité, qui travaillent à la Direction générale de l'aviation civile de Transports Canada, ont la responsabilité d'effectuer des activités d'inspection se rapportant aux personnes et aux organisations qui participent à la maintenance et à la fabrication des aéronefs et des produits aéronautiques. Elles et ils sont chargés de voir au respect du cadre de réglementation de l'Aviation civile, et de garantir et de promouvoir la navigabilité des aéronefs et une culture proactive du système de gestion de la sécurité, pour assurer la sécurité de l'aviation civile au Canada et à l'étranger.

Tâches :
- Réaliser des activités d'inspection régulières auprès des organisations approuvées, rédiger des rapports et assurer le suivi des secteurs préoccupants.
- Examiner et approuver la documentation de la compagnie liée à la politique et aux procédures d'exploitation et de maintenance des aéronefs.
- Voir au bon déroulement de l'examen, de l'inspection et de la certification des personnes présentant une demande de licence d'OMA, d'OFA, d'exploitant aérien, de fabricant ou de TEA.
- Enquêter et fournir un soutien technique relatives aux incidents d'aviation, aux accidents et au maintien de la navigabilité.
Pour être pris en considération, vous devez avoir :
- Un diplôme d'études secondaires ou les alternatives approuvées par l'employeur.
- Une licence canadienne valide de technicien d'entretien d'aéronefs (TEA).
- Expérience récente* de travail en tant qu'ingénieur d'entretien d'aéronefs (TEA) agréé avec une autorité de certification dans une organisation canadienne de maintenance ou de fabrication, y compris l'exécution d'activités complexes dans une grande variété de situations tout en démontrant un niveau de responsabilité croissant.
