Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver/ Benchman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and communication, ensuring that all deliveries are completed accurately and on time. For a benchman, we are requiring skills in using tools for assembling cabinets at a workbench.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
  • Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met.
  • Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization.
  • Engage in heavy lifting and moving of products as required during deliveries.

Requirements

  • Valid full driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in commercial driving preferred; familiarity with delivery routes is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Previous experience in warehouse operations or moving is desirable.
  • Ability to operate a forklift is a plus but not mandatory; training may be provided.
  • Must be able to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Skills to use hand tools

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

Experience:

  • Driving: 3 years (preferred)
