Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Egg Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting boxed eggs safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment, especially fortlift and pallet jack. Able to lift heavy egg boxes and maneuver heavy pallets of eggs.

Duties

  • Safely operate delivery truck, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to designated locations.
  • Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of eggs to prevent damage.
  • Assist in the operation of forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed for loading and unloading tasks.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
  • This job includes working: Wednesday half day preparing and loading the delivery truck with orders, and Thursday full day delivering, per week.

Skills

  • A valid driver's license
  • Experience in freight handling and logistics is preferred.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely, including forklifts.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs by hand
  • Ability to push and pull a very heavy pallet filled with eggs, with a pallet jack.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record-keeping when receiving payment from customers.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
