Duties & Responsibilities:

Plan and drive project execution to meet schedules, milestones, and critical path deadlines.

Champion a strong safety-first culture by leading crews and setting the standard for safe, professional work.

Deliver projects that meet production goals without ever compromising on quality or client expectations.

Act as a key point of contact when challenges arise, proactively resolving scheduling conflicts and project issues.

Manage job costing and cost forecasting to support informed, real-time decision-making.

Interpret contracts to identify scope changes and understand associated risks and responsibilities.

Develop and implement project-specific safety plans, ensuring teams actively follow them on site.

Lead, schedule, and coordinate trades, subcontractors, and construction personnel to keep work moving efficiently.

Mentor foremen and collaborate closely with junior field engineers to support growth and performance.

Partner with the Project Manager to ensure seamless execution and an exceptional client experience.

Solve problems quickly and creatively in a fast-paced environment with tight construction timelines.

Contribute to estimating execution hours, equipment needs, and resource requirements for upcoming projects.

Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to support future project opportunities.

Participate in pre-tender site visits and scope reviews alongside the estimating team.

Qualifications & Skills:

6+ years of proven leadership experience in the construction industry, managing sites and projects aligned with our project portfolio.

Demonstrated success delivering complex underground civil utility projects, including potable water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, district heating, as well as earthworks, road building, and other infrastructure scopes.

Hands-on experience working across a wide range of soil conditions, such as peat, running sand, glacial till, and similar environments.

Technical diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline considered a strong asset.

Strong track record of successfully managing diverse, technically challenging construction projects from start to finish.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using digital tools to support project planning, reporting, and communication.

Compensation:

The role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical salary range of $90,000-$120,000 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate's competencies, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and experience.
