About the Role

We are a commercial greenhouse operation located in Leamington, Ontario, seeking a knowledgeable and motivated
Assistant Grower
to support our growing operations. This role works closely with the production team and plays a key part in day-to-day crop management, climate control, and production planning.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor plant health, growth, and overall crop performance
  • Complete forecasting and planning using Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Monitor/ Adjust the Integrated Climate Control System
  • Respond to greenhouse alarms as required.
  • Adjust work schedule to meet the demands of the growing season
  • Responsible for the administration of irrigation/ fertigation to plants.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe growing areas
  • Attend regular meetings with the fellow production team members

Qualifications

  • Previous greenhouse experience required
  • Growing experience preferred
  • Strong willingness to Learn required
  • Basic working knowledge of
    Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Experience with greenhouse climate control systems such as Priva, Hoogendoorn, or similar considered an asset
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including being on call for alarms
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
