THE ROLE
Our Associate Advisor is an aspiring leader in the insurance industry and the sector they serve, understanding their clients needs and their client's business. The Associate Advisor will embody strong consultative and proven strategic selling abilities and look for strategic ways to generate new relationships, retain existing ones, and grow current ones. The Associate Advisor is responsible for the overall client experience.
The focus of the role is on achieving results which are aligned with the larger picture of the organization and the strategic goals. Initiative, coupled with a sense of competitive drive, and the ability to stay focused on results despite changing conditions, is the key to achieving the performance objectives of this role. The client needs are dynamic and therefore the work in the role involves innovation and creativity in generating solutions to better the client experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:- Most importantly, you will lead by example, live our values, and drive new business for the company through new business opportunities and expanding sales in existing accounts and cross sell opportunities.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets and objectives while leading the growth of the company and managing and maintaining a robust prospect pipeline.
- Positively impact the growth of the organization each year by continually growing the client base.
- Accountability for the client insurance program including all recommendations and ensuring gaps in coverage reviewed and addressed.
- Act as the client's advisor in risk and insurance while identifying and understanding emerging trends within client industries and insurance markets.
- Working in alignment with Commercial Service Team Lead and internal service team members to provide an exceptional customer service experience.
- Be active in your networks and your community, attending industry and community events with a focus on business development.
- A key emphasis on building rapport and relationships and ensuring that strong long-term relationships are created by providing an industry leading level of support to clients in maintaining their insurance facilities.
- Other duties as required.
- Evidence of business-to-business revenue generation or proven experience in commercial insurance with a strong sales aptitude.
- An academic background consisting of post secondary education, certificates, industry programs, etc. Evidence of lifelong learning and all appropriate provincial licenses.
- A network and center of influence of key decision makers.
- Strong business acumen along with a natural sales aptitude proven experience of strong consultative and proven strategic selling abilities.
- Track record of establishing short- and long-term product growth goals, and then executing sales plans to achieve those goals.
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy and business acumen.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
