Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Manager to lead our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and food service experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Previous experience in restaurant management, food handling, and team management is essential. Hospitality background, including hotel or barista experience, is a plus. The Service Manager will play a key role in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring operational excellence across all service areas.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery
  • Supervise and motivate staff, including interviewing and onboarding new team members
  • Manage food preparation, cooking processes, and food handling to meet safety standards
  • Handle POS transactions accurately using Micros POS or similar systems
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Lead team management efforts, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve service issues promptly to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of supplies
  • Uphold hospitality standards by creating a welcoming environment for guests and staff
  • Assist in restaurant management tasks such as budgeting, planning, and implementing operational improvements

Skills

  • Proven experience in food service, restaurant management, or hospitality industry
  • Strong leadership abilities with previous supervising or team management experience
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
  • Proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
  • Experience operating POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
  • Skilled in interviewing candidates and building effective teams
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, kitchen processes, and food handling procedures
  • Hospitality background including hotel or barista experience is advantageous
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment
