Job Overview

As a Journeyman/Journeywoman Roofer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and durability of roofing systems. Your expertise will shine as you work on various roofing projects, utilizing your skills in construction and craftsmanship to deliver high-quality results. You will collaborate with a dynamic team to tackle challenges head-on, ensuring safety and excellence in every task.

What you'll do

• Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, and tiles.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to accurately execute roofing designs.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and installing roofing materials.
• Perform concrete forming and masonry work as needed to support roofing structures.
• Engage in heavy lifting and physical labor while maintaining safety standards on construction sites.
• Conduct restoration work on existing roofs to extend their lifespan and improve functionality.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while adhering to quality standards.
• Provide maintenance person services including trim carpentry, caulking, and remodeling tasks as required.

Basic qualifications

• Proven experience in construction with a focus on roofing projects.
• Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding of construction estimating processes.

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with metal stud framing, plumbing, welding, tile laying, and stucco applications.
• Experience in fabrication and frame carpentry techniques.
• Previous involvement in restoration projects or maintenance person services is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $39.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
