Duties

  • Install roofing materials such as shingles, tiles, and metal sheets according to specifications.
  • Repair and replace damaged roofing systems to ensure structural integrity and prevent leaks.
  • Perform inspections of roofs to identify issues and recommend solutions.
  • Utilize hand tools and heavy lifting equipment safely and effectively during roofing projects.
  • Apply caulking and sealants as necessary to ensure waterproofing.
  • Read blueprints and building plans to determine the best installation methods.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters, to complete projects efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Skills

  • Valid Journeyman Roofing certification.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional roofing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and residential roofing systems.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and
