About The Role And The Team
At eBay, we believe exciting products don't just happen — they're built through collaboration, customer focus, and technical perfection. The Seller Experience team builds the tools and platforms that empower millions of sellers worldwide to grow their businesses and deliver outstanding customer experiences.

We are hiring a Lead Technical Program Manager to drive product delivery activities related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A). This role requires blending new technologies, capabilities, and seller experiences into eBay's ecosystem.

This is a strategic, high-impact TPM leadership role that blends technical knowledge, product delivery, and organizational influence. The position works closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Corporate Development teams to ensure that M&A-related initiatives generate measurable business and customer outcomes.

While the initial focus will be on M&A-related programs, the scope will expand over time to encompass other complex, cross-domain product delivery initiatives within Seller Experience.

In the Lead, Technical Program Manager role, you oversee the product portfolio for several major initiatives or domains. You ensure alignment between the product roadmap, business objectives, and timeline execution. You are tasked with promoting transparency, responsibility, and influence across multiple projects. This supports faster progress, more effective planning, and stronger cooperation among teams. The role combines strategic vision with hands-on support. You balance organizational insight with removing barriers for teams on the ground.

What You Will Accomplish

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of product and platform programs emerging from acquisitions — ensuring that new capabilities, tools, or marketplaces are successfully coordinated throughout Seller Experience processes.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Corporate Development to convert acquisition strategy into practical product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with eBay's seller and buyer experiences.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional execution across engineering, build, data, and operations teams to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within scope.
  • Collaborate with architecture and platform teams to build integration strategies, data flows, and service dependencies that enable scalable onboarding of new product capabilities.
  • Drive program governance, risk assessment, and achievement management, ensuring transparency across leadership and collaborators.
  • Define and refine repeatable delivery frameworks for future M&A-focused product integrations, improving speed-to-market and execution consistency.
  • Act as a trusted liaison between Seller Experience and global partner teams (including Payments, Trust, and Customer Service) to ensure cohesive platform behavior post-integration.
  • Mentor TPMs and technical leads, encouraging a culture of clarity, accountability, and delivery excellence.

What You Will Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in technical program management, including at least 5 years leading large-scale, cross-functional product or platform delivery.
  • Proven experience driving integration or delivery programs related to M&A, partnerships, or product migrations within a global technology organization.
  • Strong technical proficiency across software architecture, API platforms, data systems, and service integration — able to engage deeply with engineering teams.
  • Excellent ability to navigate ambiguity, drive alignment across diverse teams, and communicate clearly with both technical and business collaborators.
  • Proven success in bridging product strategy with technical execution, translating business goals into measurable deliverables.
  • Expertise in agile and lean delivery methodologies, with experience optimizing cross-team workflows for velocity and quality.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related area. PMP, PgMP, or SAFe certification a plus.
