Warehouse Inventory Control Associate

Brimich Logistics is a family-owned and operated third-party logistics (3PL) and warehousing company committed to excellence, integrity, and continuous growth. As a rapidly expanding organization, we're looking for motivated, reliable individuals to join our team.
This role is primarily warehouse floor–based, with a strong focus on inventory counting and accuracy. You will conduct regular cycle counts document and reconcile variances, and follow up promptly on any discrepancies. The role includes performing detailed inventory audits, investigating and resolving issues related to product handling, packaging, labeling, and compliance, while ensuring that all counts and adjustments are accurately recorded in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
You will work closely with Supervisors, the Inventory Control team, and Quality Assurance to implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement in stock accuracy. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and clear communication to maintain precise inventory records and support efficient warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn and become competent in operating the client's Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Perform item maintenance updates in the WMS, maintaining data integrity and accuracy.
- Conduct regular inventory and quality audits, documenting findings and initiating corrections as required.
- Record and track errors, ensuring proper follow-up, root cause analysis, and corrective action with IC/QA leadership.
- Assist in identifying quality issues (including product handling, packaging, labeling, and compliance concerns) and escalate appropriately.
- Support the resolution of inventory discrepancies through research, investigation, and corrective adjustments.
- Safely operate material handling equipment (MHE) when required for audits, investigations, or quality checks.
- Prepare documentation and reporting related to errors, audits, and quality findings, ensuring timely communication to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with IC and QA leadership to implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support operations as required and perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Reporting Structure:
- Daily operational reporting to On-Shift Leadership (Supervisor/Manager).
- Functional support and oversight from Inventory Control Leadership and Quality Assurance Leadership.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Prior experience in inventory control, quality assurance, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and correct errors.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to communicate findings and corrective actions effectively to leadership and peers.
- Certification or experience with MHE (forklift, reach truck, etc.) preferred.
- Knowledge of quality and compliance standards in a logistics/warehousing environment is an asset.
- Fully capable of working in varying temperatures. Temperatures may range anywhere from 2°C to 15°C in most Brimich Warehouses. Brimich Cold Storage buildings may range from 0°C to -30 °C.
