Fishing Guide – Hatchet Lake Lodge
Seasonal Position – Northern Saskatchewan
Overview
Hatchet Lake Lodge is a premier fishing lodge located in northern Saskatchewan, offering guests exclusive access to some of Canada's finest trophy fishing waters. We're looking for skilled and motivated Fishing Guides to join our seasonal team for the 2025 season.
Our operation is remote and fully self-contained, with guests arriving on a set schedule every four days between June 11th and August 22nd. Guides play a vital role in delivering the world-class experience Hatchet Lake Lodge is known for — combining professionalism, safety, and hospitality on the water each day.
About the Fishery
Hatchet Lake Lodge holds exclusive outfitting rights to 20 lakes, providing an unmatched variety of fishing opportunities:
- 4 main lakes accessible directly from the lodge
- 16 fly-out day-use lakes accessed by floatplane
Guides accompany two anglers per boat and target four main species:
Northern Pike, Lake Trout, Walleye, and Arctic Grayling.
Each day offers a new adventure — from casting for pike in shallow bays to trolling deep for lake trout or fly fishing grayling in remote rivers.
Position Summary
As a Fishing Guide, you'll be responsible for providing safe, professional, and memorable fishing experiences for your assigned guests. You'll operate lodge boats, share knowledge of the fishery, prepare traditional shore lunches, and ensure each day on the water runs smoothly.
