WOLLASTON LAKE LODGE FISHING GUIDE SUMMARY
As a Wollaston Fishing Guide, you will be a teacher, mentor, and problem solver to create a once in a lifetime trip for our guests. You must be passionate about the outdoors and customer hospitality. Guides will be responsible for two guests in their boat each day and be scheduled to work the duration of the offer of employment. You will work with in a team of 30 guides and you must have the ability to work with a variety of different personalities.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Having a high level of professional boat handling skills with experience driving a tiller motor in a safe manner and guest safety in mind
· Responsible that lodge equipment assigned is in good working order including boat and motor
· Responsible for basic maintenance of boat and motor i.e.) checking oil daily etc
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
· Represent the lodge and staff in a positive and professional manner
· Active listening and effective communication skills
· Work well alone or with in a group
· Always be courteous and helpful to all guests and other staff members
· Strong attention to detail
· Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with guests.
· Have strong fishing skills with the ability to teach these skills to guests
· Willingness to share tackle as needed with quests and the understanding the guest will help with the replacement costs
· Developing ability to navigate by map and landmarks of all lakes
· Use electronic mapping and charting skills to become a better guide
· Understanding and implementing Wollaston Lake Lodge policies and procedures
· Knowing and following lodge catch and release guidelines as well as provincial fishing regulations
· Fly fishing experience is an asset
· Comfortable flying in float plane
· Cooking shore lunch skills
·Administrative work required
· Must be able to handle all physical aspects of the job, which include lifting/moving heavy equipment (approx. 50lbs)
· Must be authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis
Certifications:
· Must have a boat operator card
· Valid First Aid and CPR
Schedule:
· May 29 – August 21
· Monday to Sunday
· Holidays
· Weekends
· Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $165.00-$250.00 per day
