Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Full-time Accountant with minimum of 2 years of public practice experience preparing year end files, trust returns, corporate tax returns, and personal tax returns.
The candidate must be well organized, efficient, and have the ability to multitask and manage client filing deadlines. The candidate must be able to interact with staff and clients in a professional manner.
Responsibilities will include:
Preparation of Compilation Engagements
Preparation of corporate tax returns, trust returns, and personal income tax returns.
Review of client bookkeeping and account reconciliations.
Preparing and filing GST and other statutory returns.
Payroll.
Preparation of T3's, T4's and T5's.
Analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role
2 years of experience in public practice accounting
Knowledge of Caseware, Profile, Sage and QuickBooks.
General understanding of accounting and taxation for small to medium sized businesses.
Experience:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with corporate finance principles
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
