Your Opportunity at SECURE
SECURE is seeking an experienced, safety minded equipment operator. The ideal candidate will be experienced in operating loaders and attachments that include fork and bucket.
This position is based out of Edmonton Alberta
The Team
This position must also adhere to our safety program and work as a contributing member of the site team.
Work Environment
This is a full time permanent role and a based in the yard, working Monday to Friday, 3:00pm to 12:00am with rotating Saturdays
A Day in The Life
- Operate equipment while adhering to all safe work practices and procedures
- Follow Secures' operating standards and procedures
- Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment. Complete walk-arounds, safety checks and ensure equipment is running properly
- Secure special attachments to equipment
- Operate two-way radios and other communication when required
- Minor repairs to equipment. Report any necessary reports to the supervisor
- Commitment to working safely and following safety protocol
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- One or more years experience operating equipment in industries such as civil earth works, pipelines, or Oil & Gas
- 2 years equipment operation experience
- A minimum of 5,000 hours in Heavy Equipment operations
- Drug, Alcohol & Fitness Testing
- Grade 12 or GED
- Must have steel toe work boots; other personal safety gear is an asset
- Ability to Work variable shifts & hours
- Work and/or travel in varied terrains, weather conditions, isolated locations and by various means of transportation
- Must be physically fit, heavy labour is required
