Who We Are

Biosphere Eco-Cities Canada (BECC) is a national environmental non-profit supporting

grassroots climate and environmental sustainability solutions. With a national hub and five

active chapters (Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto, Brampton, Ottawa), we're scaling up our

communications, and need creative, committed volunteers to help tell our story.

*About The Role*
As our Volunteer Communications Coordinator, you'll work with a dynamic and purpose-driven team. This is a hands-on opportunity to help shape the voice, visuals, and community presence of a growing sustainability movement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Social Media: Curate, create, and schedule engaging content on Instagram, LinkedIn,

Facebook, and more. Spot trends, build engagement, and grow our online presence.

  • Content Writing: Draft blogs, newsletters, interview pieces, and campaign stories that

inform and inspire diverse audiences.

  • Visual Design: Create compelling graphics and short-form videos for social media and

campaigns (using Canva or Adobe Suite). Turn environmental messages into

eye-catching, accessible visuals.

Whether you're a writer, a designer, a social media enthusiast—or a bit of all three—this role

offers creative freedom and real-world experience in nonprofit communications.
