Shipper/Receiver/Forklift Operator/Material Handler

Description

  • Hold a valid G drivers licence
  • Cleaning duties include keeping Shipping/Receiving area organized and tidy. Includes keeping all steel racks/tool crib/main aisles clear and safe.
  • Receiving of materials/parts. Unpack shipment, review packing slip, verify items are correct as per the packing slip and purchase order. Once order is verified, sign and date all packing slips for orders received. All documents (packing and receiving) completed on a daily bases and delivered to the main office. (Follow Procedure for Process 7.4.3 Verification of purchased product as per ISO 9001:2008)
  • Shipping includes getting all packages ready/prepped to be delivered (counted, inspected, verified with the proper paper work attached). All shipments are to be in new boxes/crates including all B&B, UPS, Purolator or out of country deliveries.
  • Running saw, finding materials from cut lists, deburing, processing (Certificates), marking of materials as per company standards.
  • Stamping of parts (rubber/electro chemical etch, steel stamps) painting/marking dies (training will be provided if required).
  • Assist in lifting/loading of materials into machines, assisting in the cleaning of machines and the dumping of scrap bins.
  • Deliveries may be required as per upper management
  • General/scheduled maintenance which includes cleaning of the saws, oiling conventional machines and checking all bench grinders to ensure they are safe (training will be provided if required).
  • Knowledge of safe operation of hand/power tools

Educational/Training Requirements

  • Minimum Grade 12 education recommended
  • Lift truck training certificate - Provided
  • WHMIS training - Provided
  • Valid G driver's license - some deliveries might be required.
  • Basic computer skills for scanning/documenting incoming materials

  • Must work well with others
  • Must be able to work indoors with noise, vibrations and other hazards that are common to the job
  • Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
