Forklift Operator/Order Picker

Position Summary,

Our company is currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Forklift Operator. The prime function of this position is to provide support to the supply chain through collecting, loading, picking orders, shipping and receiving warehouse products. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating technical equipment, optimizing loading for efficient logistics and supporting other warehouse functions to ensure optimal operation of the business. Shift hours are 7:30 am - 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday. Fridays are 7:30 am - 2:00 pm.

Duties,

Operate forklift or other hand truck

Adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company

Perform cycle counts as required

Pick, wrap and stage orders to be shipped

Load and unload trucks

Daily safety inspection of forklifts and other material handling equipment

Identify safety hazards in the workplace

Requirements and Skills,

Applicant must have a valid forklift license

High school diploma/GED required

2+ years' experience operating powered forklifts

Knowledge of various material-handling equipment an asset

Proficient in mathematics

Proficient in basic computer systems and inventory control systems

Strong understanding of safety regulations

Possess a high regard for safety in the workplace

Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
