Job Overview
Lubricant company has a Truck driver/warehouse position available. We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight and goods across various routes around the Calgary Area. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety and compliance standards. Candidates with skills in heavy equipment operation, automotive repair, and forklift operation will be highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate trucks and commercial vehicles to deliver freight to designated locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations
Skills
- Minimum 3 years driving experience with a (min. class 3) valid commercial driver's license and an Air brake endorsement (Q Endorsement)
- Candidate must have a good driver's abstract
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Experience operating a forklift will be required as the candidate will assist in the warehouse to Pick, Pack, and ship orders
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshooting
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and documentation
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members, dispatcher and clients as Driver
- (if necessary) Log in to ELD where necessary torecord cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour
