Business Analyst

Established in 1960, Perimeter Aviation LP is a diversified company that is a subsidiary of the Exchange Income Corporation which has recently grown through the merger with Bearskin Airlines. With approximately 900 employees, we operate a fleet of 45+ aircraft including the Metro 2, 3, 23, Merlin and Dash 8 aircraft. We are based in Winnipeg and Thompson, Manitoba as well as Sioux Lookout, Timmins, Thunder Bay, and Toronto Ontario. We provide scheduled passenger and freight services to Northern Manitoba and Northern Ontario, 24/7 North American charter services, Medical evacuation services and a full-service maintenance facility including design engineering, NDT, and Garrett turbine engine services.

Position Summary

The Business Analyst is responsible for providing integrated analytical support across the airline's network planning, revenue management, and business development functions. This role involves data analysis, performance reporting, and strategic recommendations to optimize the airline's route network, maximize revenue, and identify efficiency and growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Compile and perform detailed data analytics to support the revenue management & marketing department including analysis of the airline's network performance, standard KPI's and profitability metrics.
• Construct comprehensive reports and dashboards, utilizing data visualization techniques to identify trends and generate insights that inform business decisions.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and support new business ventures.
• Support the development of long-term network strategies through data analysis, including fleet deployment and hub optimization.
• Conduct modeling and scenario analysis for potential business opportunities (eg. RFP submissions).
• Assist in optimizing flight schedules, inventory controls, and pricing strategies through data-driven insights to enhance overall revenue optimization.
• Provide consolidated analysis and financial modeling to support business case development for new routes, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively within a small cross-functional team to align on goals and strategies.
• Assist the team with ad hoc analysis requests and contribute to special projects as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Education, Experience and Technical Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experiences in finance, business, or related field.
• 2+ years experience as a business or data analyst
• Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI).
• Creative problem solver who thinks strategically, is result oriented and attentive to details
• Strong quantitative skills with the ability to analyze large datasets and derive actionable insights

Working Conditions

• Physically able to perform all listed job duties
• Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role
• Work performed primarily in an office environment with occasional travel
• Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and telephone
• Able to sit for up to eight hours - in office.
• This is an onsite role in Thunder Bay, ON
