Position: Business Analyst - Prime Service

Location : Toronto, ON

Mode of Work : Hybrid (2 days a week)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in Prime Services / Prime Brokerage to drive business growth, regulatory compliance, and platform modernization initiatives. This role involves working closely with stakeholders across the trade lifecycle, optimizing processes, and delivering strategic solutions for hedge fund clients.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Partner with business and technology teams to gather, analyze, and document requirements for Prime Services initiatives.
  • Support projects related to hedge fund servicing, trade lifecycle optimization, and regulatory change.
  • Collaborate across Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office functions to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Drive platform modernization and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Prime Brokerage products and services.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of Business Analyst experience in Investment Banking or Capital Markets.
  • Strong domain knowledge of Prime Brokerage / Prime Services.
  • Solid understanding of hedge fund operations and financing models.
  • Hands-on experience with margin, collateral, securities lending, and financing products.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work across multiple functional areas and deliver complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Exposure to regulatory frameworks impacting Prime Services.
  • Experience with technology platforms used in Prime Brokerage.
  • Knowledge of trade lifecycle systems and data flows.
