The City of Port Coquitlam is currently seeking a positive, energetic and customer focused, individual to work in our Development Services Department as the Customer Service Representative - Development Engineering. Reporting to the Manager of Development Engineering, the incumbent will perform a variety of customer service tasks to variety of customers.
Some of the key responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Provide information and assistance by responding to inquiries from a variety of customers, including members of the public, contractors, professionals and internal staff
- Prepares and maintains a variety of correspondence, files, and reports; and compiles information, statistics, communication materials and other documents related to the work
The successful candidate for this position will have:
- You are an administrative whiz with thorough knowledge of business English, spelling and punctuation supplemented by post-secondary courses in business communications
- You have at least six months experience with cash handling, point of sale systems or have successfully completed a basic bookkeeping course
- You have a typing speed of at least 45accurate wpm
- You have strong Microsoft Office skills
- You have the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels of the organization
- You have exceptional customer service skills with at least two years' experience in a customer service role that has been supplemented with conflict resolution training
- You exude positive energy and believe that anything is possible
