Job description:

Overview

The General Superintendent oversees company-wide field operations, sets production and quality standards, mentors Civil Supers and Supervisors, and directly supervises smaller projects while supporting major projects strategically.

Responsibilities

  • Lead field operations across all active projects
  • Mentor Civil Superintendents, Supervisors, and Foremen
  • Support manpower and equipment planning
  • Resolve field issues and escalate risks early
  • Conduct regular site visits and quality checks
  • Support PMs and Senior PM with schedule alignment
  • Enforce safety, productivity, and quality standards

Requirements

  • Civil construction experience in Canada or the United States is required
  • 15+ years heavy civil construction experience
  • Proven ability to manage multiple teams and complex operations
  • Strong communication, leadership, and planning ability
  • Valid G license
