The Pest Control Technician provides pest inspection and remediation services for a variety of pests at Regina Housing Properties

What you'll do:

  • Inspect buildings and outside areas to detect signs of infestation
  • Determine type of treatment required and provide recommendations on the course of action
  • Advise clients on how to prepare for treatment and to prevent future infestations; assist with unit preparations as necessary
  • Prepare and spray chemical mixture on infested areas to kill insects, rodents, and other pests
  • Place and set traps to capture and remove animals
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines, best practices, and Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
  • Provide assistance with and recommendations for the procurement of goods required for pest control throughout the portfolio ensuring purchase are both cost effective and of good quality.

What you'll need:

  • A valid Saskatchewan Pesticide Applicator License
  • 1-2 years' experience in pest control or a related field
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Commitment to confidentiality and a respect for diversity and individual differences
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise good judgment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to collaborate with others and work effectively in a team setting
  • Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, problem solve, and work efficiently under tight timelines
  • Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent
  • Reliable vehicle to be used for work purposes

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $25.00-$27.32 per hour
