Pest Control Technician

The Pest Control Technician provides pest inspection and remediation services for a variety of pests at Regina Housing Properties
What you'll do:
- Inspect buildings and outside areas to detect signs of infestation
- Determine type of treatment required and provide recommendations on the course of action
- Advise clients on how to prepare for treatment and to prevent future infestations; assist with unit preparations as necessary
- Prepare and spray chemical mixture on infested areas to kill insects, rodents, and other pests
- Place and set traps to capture and remove animals
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines, best practices, and Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
- Provide assistance with and recommendations for the procurement of goods required for pest control throughout the portfolio ensuring purchase are both cost effective and of good quality.
What you'll need:
- A valid Saskatchewan Pesticide Applicator License
- 1-2 years' experience in pest control or a related field
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Commitment to confidentiality and a respect for diversity and individual differences
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise good judgment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to collaborate with others and work effectively in a team setting
- Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, problem solve, and work efficiently under tight timelines
- Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent
- Reliable vehicle to be used for work purposes
