He developed DECIEM to be a happy family (of people and beauty brands), rooted in kindness, creativity, diversity, and respect, alongside Co-Founder, Nicola Kilner.We are growing rapidly and we're looking for someone who shares this vision and wants to grow with usWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORReporting to Head of Supply Planning, the Supply Planning Intern will support the Supply Planning team in managing the availability of raw materials and packaging components for DECIEM plant Production and Third-Party Manufacture (TPM) Operations. This position will assist in determining the appropriate quantity and timing of purchases and issue purchase orders to meet production requirements. This role will support analyzing supply plans, identifying risks, and contributing to mitigation plans. The Intern will also assist with identifying improvements to tools and processes.Work Term Duration: Winter January 5th, 2026 to April 24th, 2026Location: DECIEM Head Office -15 Fraser Ave, Toronto, ON M6K 1Y7Hourly Rate is $22.00/hourWHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROLEAssist in developing and executing supply plans for raw materials and packaging to ensure optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess and shortages.Support collaboration with suppliers and sourcing teams to ensure sufficient capacity to meet production demands.Help review and track purchase orders, ensuring timely receipt of inventory and assisting in resolving any discrepancies with suppliers.Monitor product flow, track shipments, and ensure all necessary transactions are accurate and complete.Support the identification of potential supply chain disruptions and assist in developing action plans to minimize impact on production and inventory levels.Work closely with procurement, logistics, and production planning teams to ensure alignment of plans and risks across the supply chain.Identify gaps in supply planning processes and assist in developing initiatives to improve ways of working and enhance operational efficiency.Track and report key supply chain metrics, including inventory levels, stock turnover, lead times, and supplier performance.Maintain accurate data in ERP systems, troubleshoot basic supply planning issues, and support system upgrades or new implementations.Assist in initiating orders for new packaging items, and monitor and adjust inventory and orders based on demand results.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONECurrently pursuing or completed a post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.Basic understanding of supply chain functions, including procurement, production planning, and materials management.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong mathematical, statistical, and data analysis capabilities.Knowledge of ERP systems (Procurement, Production Planning, Materials Management) and a continuous improvement mindset.Ability to analyze problems, contribute to data-driven decisions, and assist in building mitigation plans in collaboration with other teamsWHAT YOU'LL BE GAINING BY JOINING OUR TEAMThere's a lot of good stuff that comes along with being a DECIEM team member.
