We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Prior experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. The position involves food handling, cash handling, and maintaining food safety standards to deliver an outstanding experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks according to company recipes and standards
  • Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, accurately processing transactions and handling cash or card payments
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces
  • Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service
  • Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and proper handling of food items
  • Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
  • Follow health and safety guidelines at all times, including proper food handling procedures
  • Manage time efficiently during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality

Skills

  • Previous Barista experience or background in the food industry is highly desirable
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
  • Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for accurate transaction processing
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, giving correct change, and managing register operations
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to perform food preparation tasks quickly and accurately
  • Effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
