Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Protection Officer to oversee and enforce environmental regulations and safety protocols within our organization. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in safeguarding the environment, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and preventing environmental violations through vigilant surveillance and law enforcement techniques. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to environmental sustainability and public safety in a dynamic work environment.

Duties

  • Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor compliance with environmental policies and detect potential violations.
  • Enforce environmental laws and regulations by investigating incidents, conducting inspections, and taking appropriate enforcement actions.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies on environmental crime investigations and loss prevention initiatives.
  • Maintain detailed records of surveillance activities, inspections, and enforcement actions for reporting purposes.
  • Develop and implement strategies for environmental protection, including risk assessments and mitigation plans.
  • Educate staff and the public on environmental safety standards and best practices.
  • Assist in the development of policies related to environmental security and compliance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in law enforcement, surveillance, or loss prevention is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of CCTV operation, monitoring techniques, and surveillance technology.
  • Strong understanding of environmental laws, regulations, and enforcement procedures.
  • Excellent observational skills with attention to detail for identifying violations or suspicious activities.
  • Ability to work independently and respond swiftly to incidents requiring law enforcement intervention.
  • Good communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with team members and external agencies.
  • Prior experience in environmental protection or related fields is a plus but not mandatory. This role is essential for maintaining a safe environment through vigilant monitoring, strict enforcement of regulations, and proactive prevention measures.
