Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Pharmacy Compounding Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality compounded medications in accordance with established standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements, while supporting pharmacists in daily compounding operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare non-sterile compounded medications (e.g., creams, ointments, capsules, suspensions) following master formulations and SOPs
  • Accurately weigh, measure, mix, and label pharmaceutical ingredients
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant compounding environment
  • Document compounding records, logs, and quality control checks
  • Manage inventory of compounding ingredients, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean and maintain compounding equipment according to protocols
  • Assist pharmacists with compounding-related tasks and workflow coordination
  • Ensure compliance with provincial regulations, NAPRA standards, and pharmacy policies
  • Communicate effectively with pharmacists and team members regarding compounding needs and timelines

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Pharmacy Technician or Compounding Technician training preferred
  • Previous experience in non-sterile compounding is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to follow written formulations, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Comfortable working in a back-end pharmacy environment
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
