What you will be doing:

  • Lead multi-functional development team in the maintenance and evolution of backend and client-facing applications for Rexall flagship loyalty program.
  • Define application roadmap in line with business priorities.
  • Oversee the full agile software development lifecycle, including analysis, development, testing and support
  • Drive product architecture and technology evolution.
  • Perform code reviews regularly with all developers.
  • Willing to work after-hours to assist with deployments and troubleshooting.
  • Define and enforce coding standards, architecture best practices, and development guidelines.
  • Ensure all solutions adhere to security best practices, data privacy regulations, and compliance standards (e.g., PCI, PIPEDA, FHIR).
  • Collaborative with QA teams, ensuring the successful execution of test plans, identifying and resolving defects, and ensuring that product releases meet high-quality standards before launch.
  • Evaluates technology vendors and solutions. Manages budgets to optimize mobile development resources and project outcomes.

How you will succeed:

  • University Degree or College Diploma in the field of Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience in software development, with experience leading and mentoring developers.
  • Strong knowledge of the end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC), methodologies, processes, standards and best practices for web and mobile development.
  • Expertise building .Net/C# Core Applications
  • Experience with microservices architecture
  • Experience building high-performing scalable architectures
  • Familiarity in setting up Kubernetes and Docker containers
  • Strong understanding of web technologies (web apps, HTTP, JavaScript)
  • Experience with Android and iOS mobile app development (Kotlin and Swift)
  • Proficient in Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, automating builds, testing, and deployments
