Remote Camp Operations Coordinator- Bissett, MB

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Remote Camp Operations Coordinator to manage and support daily operations at our remote mining camp in Bissett, MB, driving out on Mondays to Bissett for 2-3 day while maintaining close collaboration with our Winnipeg office, ending each week with 1-2 days working in Winnipeg office as needed.
This role ensures smooth and compliant camp operations, including housekeeping, catering, inventory management, and administrative support. The ideal candidate thrives in remote work environments, demonstrates strong leadership, and is comfortable coordinating multiple operational processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily camp logistics: accommodation, housekeeping, catering, laundry, and general upkeep
- Conduct site inspections and operational walk-throughs to ensure compliance with standards
- Support and coach housekeeping and culinary supervisors to maintain consistent service delivery
- Coordinate worker arrivals, departures, and on-site support with HR and site leadership
- Manage inventory for food, housekeeping supplies, PPE, and office materials
- Oversee ordering processes and liaise with suppliers and head office
- Develop, write, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Prepare operational reports using Google Sheets and maintain accurate documentation
- Support health and safety initiatives and enforce site protocols
- Act as a liaison between camp operations, head office, clients, and site management
- Lead process improvement projects and operational initiatives
Qualifications: Education & Experience:
- Background in housekeeping and catering operations
- Experience supervising or coordinating operations in a remote camp or industrial setting
- Proven experience writing SOPs and operational documentation
- Experience with compliance tracking, reporting, and documentation
- Inventory control and purchasing experience
- Experience in mining, construction, or remote site environments
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Leadership and supervisory skills
- Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace, particularly Google Sheets
- Project management and process development skills
- Professional customer service and relationship management abilities
Certifications :
- Valid Driver's License (required)
- First Aid/CPR certification (required)
- Food Safety or Health & Safety certification (required)
Working Conditions:
- Approximately 40 hours per week, split between Winnipeg office and Bissett camp
- Weekly travel to Bissett, MB required (initially driving out every Monday)
- Combination of office-based and field-based work in a remote camp environment
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving schedules
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly wage commensurate with experience
- Travel and accommodation provided while working at the remote camp
