Finance Officer

About the Role
As Lutheran Services continues to grow and transform aged care and community services, we need a Finance Officer who can deliver accurate, efficient, and customer-focused financial administration.You'll be responsible for managing resident and client accounts, ensuring compliance with legislation, and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders. Your work will directly support the delivery of high-quality care across our services.

Your responsibilities will include:

Prepare and process resident and client agreements, billing, and account finalisationReconcile payments from Medicare and investigate discrepanciesMaintain accurate Masterfile data and update fees and charges promptlyPrepare resident and client financial reports and statementsLiaise with auditors and assist with audit preparationIdentify and implement process improvements and internal controlsProvide exceptional customer service and resolve queries efficiently

Desirable:

Understanding of spreadsheets, data analysis, and reconciliationKnowledge of aged care, home care, or retirement living financial requirementsExperience with banking softwareStudying or holding a finance-related qualification
