Job description
Our client is a prominent Family Law Firm based in Toronto, they are currently expanding and seeking a highly qualified associate family lawyer to join the team. With their busy workload and growing client base, they require a candidate with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Family Law.
What you will need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must have minimum of 5 years experience in a law firm dealing with Family Law matters.
As an associate family lawyer, you will have the opportunity to manage your own files while providing guidance and support to junior lawyers on strategy and legal issues that may arise. They value individuals who are self-starters, confident, and possess the ability to analyze complex issues, develop successful strategies, and implement them effectively.
You must also have excellent knowledge and understanding of matters related to contested divorces, custody and access disputes, child, and spousal support, as well as property and equalization of net family property.
You should have excellent communication skills; and appreciate the importance of providing outstanding, cost effective and responsive legal services to clients. In this role you will also require an entrepreneurial spirit and proven success in building client relationships.
Must be a member of the Ontario Bar in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. Other key success factors include strong analytical, research and writing skills along with excellent academic credentials.
