Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight and equipment across various locations. Duties

  • Safely operate trucks for local or long-distance deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Load and unload freight
  • Inspect vehicles regularly for maintenance issues and perform basic automotive repairs when necessary
  • Secure freight properly to prevent damage during transit
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and reports
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance

Skills

  • Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type
  • Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
  • Basic automotive repair skills for minor vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance standards
  • Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps or GPS systems accurately
  • Physical stamina to load, unload, and secure freight, often involving lifting heavy items
  • Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
