Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of freight handling, commercial driving, and the operation of heavy equipment. The Truck Driver will also be expected to perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle as needed.

Duties

  • Safely operate a commercial truck to transport goods to various locations.
  • Load and unload freight using forklifts and other equipment.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the truck as necessary.
  • Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and traffic laws.

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
  • Experience in freight handling and transportation logistics is preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts and heavy equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance practices.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
