About The Role
As a Staff Frontend Software Engineer at Harvey, you will be instrumental in shaping the core infrastructure of our product platform while directly developing user-facing features for top-tier law firms and enterprise clients. Your responsibilities will include designing and maintaining foundational systems such as authentication, permissions, feature flagging, notifications, and document management integrations. You will lead efforts to evolve Harvey's internal product platform, enabling faster development across multiple product lines and engineering teams. This role involves building enterprise-grade collaboration tools, including secure multi-party workflows, cross-organization integrations, and comprehensive administrative controls.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of frontend-focused software engineering experience on platform and/or product teams
- Proven experience in developing and shipping user-facing features with measurable impact
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, REST/gRPC APIs, databases, and scalable service architecture
- Familiarity with enterprise SaaS patterns, including role-based access control (RBAC), feature flag systems, and third-party integrations
- Track record of delivering highly intuitive and user-centric products
- Excellent programming skills and solid knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals
- Experience working across the full technology stack
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain foundational infrastructure such as authentication, permissions, notifications, and document management integrations
- Lead the evolution of Harvey's internal product platform to support rapid development and scalability
- Build and enhance enterprise-facing features including secure multi-party collaboration, cross-organization workflows, and administrative controls
- Ensure high standards for security, privacy, and system reliability, especially in handling sensitive legal data
- Collaborate with product, AI, design, and go-to-market teams to deliver seamless, enterprise-grade user experiences
- Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and technical planning to uphold best practices
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and incorporate innovative solutions into the platform
