Job Description

As a Frontend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining UI and frontend components of our onboarding experience. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions that meet the needs of our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of frontend technologies like React, CSS and HTML.

This role is an on-site position based in our Toronto office.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with design and product managers to plan and develop new UIs for upcoming initiatives
  • Improve existing UI functionality on a variety of products
  • Build reusable code for future use
  • Codebase health improvements
  • Cross team communications with stakeholders to understand implementation requirements and limitations
  • Provide mentorship to peers in the broader engineering team through code reviews and education on best practices
  • Provide maintenance support and enhance performance to existing applications

Required:

  • 3 years of proven experience of frontend and UI development
  • Strong experience with React
  • Advanced knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS and HTML
  • Experience working with modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience working with design systems
  • Experience with unit, Integration and end-to-end testing
  • Proficiency in Git / GitHub, branching methodologies, code review tools, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

  • Experience developing consumer-facing crypto products
  • Ability to work full-stack and familiarity with and Express applications
  • Experience working with clients and/or business partners
