Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Accountant to support our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist with various accounting functions, including bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial analysis. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate finance and accounting software applications, contributing to the accurate management of financial records and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Support bookkeeping activities using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and others
  • Help prepare financial statements and reports for auditing and review purposes
  • Assist with payroll processing and related documentation
  • Conduct account reconciliation tasks to verify the integrity of financial information
  • Aid in auditing processes by providing necessary documentation and data analysis
  • Collaborate with team members to improve financial procedures and ensure compliance with internal controls

Requirements

  • Candidates pursing CPA will be given preference.

Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online

  • Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping principles
  • Knowledge of bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, and account analysis techniques
  • Familiarity with corporate finance concepts including budgeting, auditing, and financial services
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience in payroll processing is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately
  • Relevant educational background in accounting or finance is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
